Software For Uninstalling Toolbars | Get Rid of Toolbars

Hi, James here...

Today we're going to talk a bit about those stubbern toolbars that just won't do as you want 'em to.

How do we remove a toolbar that doesn't show up in add-ons, remove programs or anywhere else?

If you've tried everything and your toolbar just won't give in, you need to take some more drastical methods in use.

I have a few pieces of software that may help you. However, since there are so many different toolbars I can't promise anything. You might need to try more than one.

Here we go:

  1. Ad-Aware - You've probably heard about Ad-Aware before. This is because Ad-Aware is one of the most powerful tools to get rid of unwanted spy- and adware (which a toolbar is). Ad-Aware is free to use for 30-days (which should be more than enough to remove a toolbar :) ). If you want to continue use Ad-Aware it costs $39.95 for a years license.

  2. XoftSpySE Anti-Spyware - XoftSpySE is another anti spy- and adware application. Again, this is a free download that will work for 30 days.

  3. Perfect uninstaller - If the above doesn't work (they should be able to get rid of your toolbar), then you can try Perfect uninstaller. Again, 30 days free trial.

That's it for now, I sincerly hope that one of these three tools can help you get rid of you unwanted toolbar. If you have any comments, don't hesitate to leave a comment.

How to Uninstall Toolbars | Get Rid of Toolbar

Hi guys (and gals), James here...

Today, I want to share a few tips on how to easily uninstall an unwanted toolbar.

First of all, lets define what a toolbar is shall we..

A toolbar is a piece of software that integrates with your web-browser. Some of these toolbars are very functional and good for you, while others are a pain in the **s.

Examples of good toolbars:

  • Google's toolbar
  • MSN's toolbar
  • Stumble upon's toolbar
  • ...and many others
Now, the bad toolbars are toolbars that you can't get rid of. Some of these even gather information on what you do while surfing. Not a nice thought is it?

Most toolbars are very easy to uninstall. Go to your browsers add-ons menu and select the toolbar you want to get rid of. That's it.

If this doesn't work, go to your control panel on your computer, select install/uninstall programs and find the toolbar here. Now, this can be a bit tricky since its not always the toolbars is called by its right name. DONT UNINSTALL ANYTHING UNLESS YOUR 100% SURE!

Some toolbars even have a uninstall setting in the options of the toolbar, these are from the good guys.

If you still having trouble and can't get rid of the toolbar then read the next post, where we'll discuss other options.

I've been working with computers for around 10 years now.
In my time as a "geek" I've been dealing with toolbar removal again and again.

Around 90% of all toolbars can be uninstalled farily easy. The last 10% needs some external software to get rid of them.

Stay tuned and I'll do my best to guide you trough!
